Job Description

Summary:

The Engineering/Operations Leader plays a critical role in ensuring smooth functioning of engineering processes by managing resources, optimizing workflows, and performance of operational excellence. The team member will be responsible for developmental leadership, project management, and process improvement creating an efficient working environment.

Responsibilities:

Mentoring and managing a team of individuals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the operations/engineering team and across other departments.

Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Track and report project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Stay up to date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies and promote their adoption within the team.

Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team during the design, development, and testing phases for bill of material requirements.

Identify opportunities to optimize and improve operation processes, driving efficiency and productivity.

Implement agile and other development methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance delivery.

Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, recognizing achievements, and addressing areas for improvement.

Set clear performance goals and objectives for individual team members, tracking progress over time.

Collaborate with other managers and teams to share knowledge and resources.

Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align operation efforts with business goals.

Must Haves:

Proven experience in leading and managing teams, preferably in a technology- focused environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated experience in project management and delivering products on schedule.

Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve exceptional results.

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Capability to develop and train team members to ensure high skill levels and technical abilities.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Project Management, Engineering, or supervisory role.

Proven experience in leading and managing teams, preferably in a technology-focused environment.

Efficient and proficient in Lean Manufacturing Practices.

Experience with developing, reviewing, and approving new SOPs.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 60 pounds.

Standing for the entire shift.
