Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, experienced Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities included but are no limited to:

Insurance verification, data entry and payment collection

Procedure set up & procedure assistance (Incision and drainage, toe nail extraction, laceration repair/removal, injections, venipuncture, specimen handling, EKG, nebulizer treatment, fracture/splint care, wound dressings,)

Inventory, lab follow up, opening and closing protocols

Qualifications:

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Experience in both front and back office

Customer service skills

Preferred:

Knowledge of PPO co-pay's, deductibles and co-insurance collection

Experience with Practice Velocity (Experity)

Leadership/Supervisory skills

Required:

Weekend availability
