Junior High English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher

Grades: 6–8

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Arizona

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Junior High ELA Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction to students in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, support students' academic growth, and collaborate effectively with families and school staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or related field

Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (appropriate subject area certification required)

Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

SEI Endorsement preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Create a supportive and structured classroom environment

Deliver instruction aligned with state and district ELA standards

Develop lesson plans and adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

Facilitate small and large group learning using current best practices

Utilize technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes

Monitor and assess student progress and maintain accurate records

Communicate regularly with families regarding student performance

Support students through data-driven interventions and collaborate on IEP implementation

Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities

Supervise students and uphold safety standards during school activities
