BACKGROUND:
DWK Life Sciences LLC (DWK) was formed through the merger of three industry leaders and provides the world’s laboratories and production environments with the most comprehensive range of labware. Serving scientific research, technical applications, storage, and packaging needs, DWK manufactures a wide array of precision glassware and specialty products for the life sciences market. DWK also offers products and services (vials, ampules, stoppers, septa, seals, caps, bottles, tubes, flasks, and value-added services) to customers seeking packaging solutions.
Revenue streams are driven by three primary channels: Global distributors, National distributors, and Direct field selling efforts.
DWK supports four primary market segments: Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Analytical Sciences, and Industrial glass.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Forklift Operator 1 position is responsible to accurately, and safely follow directions to perform duties in Receiving, Shipping, and Warehouse Storage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accurately identifies and receives product into inventory locations
Accurately identifies product to be picked from a pick list
Accurately picks, packs, palletize, wraps and tags orders
Accurately returns product to proper inventory locations
Moves and stacks ware for the purpose of conducting physical inventory
Assists in physical inventory and cycle counting as directed
Performs cleaning and maintenance duties as directed
Loads or unloads trucks or trailers from other facilities or vendors
Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner, while completing tasks on a timely basis.
Keeps work area clean and well organized and assists in keeping entire facility in the same condition.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, GED preferred
Two (2) years’ experience driving various types of forklift equipment in fast-paced, high volume warehouse preferred
Basic reading and math skills. Ability to work in a team based environment.
