Position: Materials Management Technician – PRN (As Needed)

Location: Materials Management Department, SGH – Mendenhall, MS

Reports to: Director of Materials Management

Employment Type: PRN (As Needed)

Process supply requisitions from hospital departments promptly

Order, transport, and stock medical supplies and equipment

Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders

Label supplies with charge/price stickers for accurate billing

Conduct inventory counts and maintains stock levels

Coordinate with vendors in the Director's absence

Follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed

Assist with other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For

Required: High School Diploma or GED, plus 1+ year of Materials Management/Purchasing experience in a healthcare setting

Preferred: Medical terminology knowledge

Proficient computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills

Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude

Team player with a professional, friendly demeanor

Physical ability to lift, push, and move heavy supply loads, stand for long periods, and perform bending or twisting motions
