Mechanical Project Manager

Job Description

Quality “Plus” Services (QPS) is a respected design-build construction and engineering company known for delivering high-quality industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and driven Mechanical Project Manager to lead and manage mechanical projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical projects—ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality goals are met.

Coordinate with clients to determine scope, objectives, and performance requirements.

Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with internal teams and subcontractors.

Oversee the design, layout, and installation of mechanical systems including structural steel, piping, and equipment setting.

Manage day-to-day project activities, subcontractors, manpower, and vendors.

Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with design, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Review and manage project documentation: contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

Communicate project progress to stakeholders and leadership with regular updates.

Identify potential risks or delays and implement proactive solutions.

Ensure adherence to industry codes and company standards (ASME, ASHRAE, OSHA, etc.).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; PE license a plus….or 20 years’ experience in construction Project Management.

5+ years of experience in mechanical project management, preferably in industrial or commercial construction.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction processes.

Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Excel) and design software (AutoCAD, Revit).

Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

PMP certification or similar project management credential is advantageous.
