Project Coordinator

Job Description

Nickerson is looking for a driven, energetic project administrator to join our operations team. This position requires strong computer skills, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

Nickerson is a major school furnishings and equipment distributor in the NY and NJ Area. We ‘Furnish a Child’s Education’ through our Four Core Values of “A Will to Succeed” “People are Important” “Trustworthiness” and “Customer Focus” We sell and install products that are used in educational facilities such as lockers, bleachers, athletic equipment, and auditorium seating.

Responsibilities:

Project coordination/management with customers, project managers, and installers

Able to multi-task and manage unexpected escalations daily, outside of your planned daily responsibilities

Project/order set-up with milestone tracking for timely and on budget job completion

Prepare work orders for the installation team and confirm scope and delivery dates

Review and process factory acknowledgments and installer invoices to accounting

Coordinate the factory submittal process and field check through production release

Monitor Job sites

Schedule, coordinate and track all product deliveries with the manufacturer and dedicated freight carries.

Prepare weekly reports to include job progress and backlog

Attend project meetings.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is plus.

Strong collaboration skills

Must have good communication skills.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines

Excellent time management skills

The ability to read architectural drawings is a plus
