Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our hotel staff as an Assistant Front Office Manager. This supervisory role will assist the Front Office Manager in various administrative and hospitality duties, ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all facets of front desk and guest services operations during assigned shifts.
Supervise, train, and mentor front desk staff, providing performance feedback and coaching.
Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations efficiently and professionally.
Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, sales, etc.) to ensure seamless guest experiences and meet guest needs.
Assist in creating staff schedules and ensuring adequate coverage.
Monitor and manage room inventory and occupancy levels.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of guest interactions and transactions.
Utilize and maintain proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software.
Assist in managing the departmental budget and labor costs.
Conduct routine inspections of the front office and public areas to maintain hotel standards.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and collaborate on implementing solutions.
Champion guest satisfaction initiatives and loyalty programs.
Enforce protocols for the security of financial transactions and guest information.
Serve as the main point of contact and liaison to VIP guests and key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Prior hospitality experience, especially in front desk and administrative roles, is required.
3+ years of front office/guest services supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (FSPMS preferred).
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
