Job Description

Salary:

IC Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IC Designer with expertise in CCD and CMOS technologies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, simulation, and validation of integrated circuits used in imaging systems. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, developing innovative solutions for image sensors and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

IC Design for Imaging Systems: Design and develop analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) for CCD and CMOS image sensors, including pixel design, analog front-end (AFE) circuits, readout architectures, and signal processing.

Circuit Simulation & Validation: Use advanced simulation tools to design and validate CMOS/CCD circuits, ensuring high performance, low noise, and optimized power consumption.

Pixel Design & Optimization: Work on the design and optimization of image sensor pixels for high dynamic range, low-light performance, and color accuracy.

Signal Processing: Develop custom signal processing techniques for readout circuits, noise reduction, and pixel-level calibration to enhance the performance of CCD and CMOS sensors.

Technology Scaling: Work with advanced process nodes (e.g., 28nm, 14nm) and cutting-edge semiconductor technologies to improve image sensor resolution, sensitivity, and power efficiency.

Layout Collaboration: Work closely with layout engineers to implement pixel designs and readout circuitry efficiently in silicon, ensuring manufacturability and performance.

Test & Debugging: Support the testing and validation of prototypes, ensuring functional performance meets system specifications, and troubleshoot issues during the prototyping phase.

Product Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CCD/CMOS IC designs into larger imaging systems, ensuring compatibility with other hardware components.

Design for Manufacturability: Ensure designs are scalable and cost-effective for high-volume production while adhering to quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's, Masters, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.

Proven experience in CCD/CMOS IC design, including deep knowledge of imaging sensor technologies and signal processing.

Proficiency in industry-standard IC design tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, etc.).

Experience with analog and mixed-signal design techniques, including pixel-level design and readout circuit design for image sensors.

Strong background in CMOS and CCD technologies, including understanding of noise, low-power design, and high-speed performance.

Familiarity with SPICE, Verilog, and other simulation/verification tools for circuit design and analysis.

Experience in image sensor performance analysis, including pixel sensitivity, noise analysis, and signal integrity.

Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of debugging and optimizing complex IC designs.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with advanced process nodes (e.g., 7nm, 5nm) and cutting-edge CMOS fabrication techniques.

Hands-on experience with pixel array architectures, column drivers, and row drivers in CMOS image sensors.

Familiarity with sensor calibration, dark current reduction, HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging, and global shutter techniques.

Knowledge of system-level integration, including embedding sensors into larger imaging systems for consumer electronics, automotive cameras, or industrial applications.

Familiarity with 3D ICs, system-on-chip (SoC), or packaging technologies related to image sensor integration.
