The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability, and other criteriaInterviewing vendors and visiting suppliers’ facilities to learn about products, services, and pricingNegotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the companyVerifying purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant productsInteracting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errorsAuthorizing payments and maintain receipts, records, and inventoriesAttend industry trade shows to learn about and stay current on trends and to meet suppliersManage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contractsKeeps information accessible by sorting and filing documentsProvides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trendsFollows and provides feedback on processes set forth by department for organization and data managementThe above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as needed to align with the overall business objectives of the organizationRequired Skills and Qualifications:BS degree in related field preferred 3-5 years relevant work experience requiredExperience in procurement within a construction setting preferredAbility to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervisionAbility to coordinate a variety of project simultaneouslyAbility to demonstrate flexibility and creativityWorking knowledge of MS Office softwareStrong organizational and interpersonal skills are requiredAble to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadlineExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as neededRegular and reliable attendance at workMMR Group, Inc.
