RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and select medium complexity storage, data centre, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice and provide a third-line point of escalation for appropriate global infrastructure solutions
Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing infrastructure and identify areas for improvement, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
Collaborate with regional and global teams to understand specific requirements e.g. related to laboratory equipment's as well as site management applications
Deliver digital solution architecture services as assigned, preparing conceptual and logical architecture diagrams to align technical direction and document future state architectures
Deliver comprehensive digital solution architecture services, preparing detailed conceptual and logical architecture diagrams that illustrate system interactions and data flows
Collect business requirements using a variety of methods e.g. requirement engineering, interviews, document analysis, workshops to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals
Translate business needs into technical specifications, clearly expressing requirements in terms of target processes, architecture and user roles etc.
Take over project management tasks covering all aspects from the start of the preliminary project to completion, including close cooperation with the management (e.g. for implementation of new or the rollout of existing solutions, or supporting global updates for special-clients
Document "as is" and "to be" processes and infrastructure and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required (e.g. for the harmonization of access control systems, the rollout of energy management plattforms or the standardization of software in the field of laboratories)
Maintain deep understanding of current technology, database management, programming practices, and future trends through ongoing education, conference attendance and
Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings.
REQUIREMENTS
Successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of IT or a related field with several years of professional experience (3-5 years) and expertise in the areas of information technologies, IT security, IT architecture & network, ITIL
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actionbased on recommendations and requirements
Independently supports business processes with comprehensive understanding and effective use of standard office equipment and standard software packages, while also providing guidance and training to others
Very good analytical knowledge & understanding of complex technological architecture
First experiences in project management skills (requirements engeneering, scope development, planning, budgeting, monitoring, control, reporting, documentation, closing, and project retrospective)
Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing, monitoring, interpreting and understanding policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives
Great pleasure in interacting and negotiating with stakeholders, suppliers, consultants and contractors to develop, operate and implement new solutions for site management and production related
