POSITION SUMMARY
This position oversees all office aspects of operations (Shipping/Receiving) in our dedicated facility, which includes the creation and distribution of all documentation and the entry of data in all pertinent logs. Requires interaction with our customer associates, our driver associates, as well as our warehouse and management associates.
This position is ultimately for the closing shift (1030 - 1900). However, the initial training will be on the opening shift (0630-1500) for approximately 4 weeks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION
Manage inbound/outbound freight, including returns, with high levels of accuracy and speed
Utilize office equipment, including computers, telephones, scanner/printer
Use Microsoft Office Suite programs and other Warehouse Management System software
Identify, troubleshoot, and correct potential systematic errors
Enter data into all pertinent logs
Manage paperwork and coordination of inbound/outbound freight
Be proactive in communication (verbal/telephone/e-mail) with the customers, carriers, plants, and our personnel regarding issues and needs
Assist in any reporting necessary for freight movement, identification, and tracking
May manage activities of our plant "loaders" and/or "spotters."
May manage yard checks and foreign carrier inbound/outbound freight

Additional duties as assigned Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
1 year clerical experience PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
2 years clerical experience REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is essential
Ability to work in a safety sensitive environment at the crossdock and yard operations
Ability to communicate with many levels of personnel - internal and external customers
Ability to challenge the status quo and work positively to improve our operation
Ability to handle constructive criticism positively
Ability to resolve conflict and problems diplomatically PREFERRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
Bilingual
