This is an onsite role located in Shawano, WI, where we offer relocation assistance for the right candidate.
Weekly Schedule:
Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday through Monday, with plant shutdowns occurring from Friday at 6:00 AM until Monday at 6:00 AM.
Role Overview:
The Shift Supervisor - Maintenance Operations will oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, as well as building and grounds management. This role includes purchasing related materials and ensuring optimal equipment functionality, alongside a focus on efficiency and proper workflow coordination with vendors and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inventory to ensure the availability of production equipment parts.
Diagnose equipment issues and recommend effective corrective actions.
Oversee the upkeep of production equipment and facilities, and handle purchasing related to maintenance needs.
Propose new equipment or process enhancements to boost production efficiency.
Ensure all staff receive adequate training on equipment and safety procedures.
Assist in improving plant layout and facilitate the movement of equipment.
Prepare management reports when required.
Stay updated on industry changes and advancements.
Utilize sound judgment to maintain, repair, and adjust production equipment, in compliance with established policies.
Safeguard sensitive data, including employee records.
Utilize computers, standard office equipment, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Adhere to Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System guidelines.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years of electromechanical experience in a manufacturing setting.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of maintenance technology.
Strong skills in reading blueprints and schematics.
Understanding of machine repair, hydraulic systems, welding, fabrication, and pipe fitting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
Experience in leading and participating in cross-functional teams.
Analytical skills to evaluate data from multiple sources and present findings.
Proactive and capable of working independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field.
Experience in the foundry or metals sector.
Familiarity with CMMS or ERP systems for work order and inventory management.
CMRP Certification.
Experience in supervising a maintenance department with cost oversight.
Formal training in team and leadership skills.
Knowledge in managing part inventory and work orders.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office features.
