Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with network infrastructure, including Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco routers and switches. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining our network systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation: Plan, design, and implement network solutions to meet business requirements.

Configuration and Management: Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring robust security measures are in place.

Network Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches to ensure network reliability and performance.

Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, identify issues, and optimize network operations.

Security: Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

Documentation: Maintain detailed network documentation and provide regular reports on network status and performance.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support network-related projects and initiatives.

Support: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and resolve network-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.

Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.

Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols.

Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Someone with at least 5 years of real experience, capable of more than just changing VLANs and updating devices. Certifications such as PCNSA and Cisco CCNA or higher are preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115,000 - $120,000 per year.
