[What the role is]The candidate will be part of a team that will plan and execute strategies to:
i) make the radio spectrum available for government and non-government uses to maximise socio-economic benefits from the implementation of radiocommunication services; and
ii)ensure the efficient and effective use of the spectrum to support national goals and objectives.
[What you will be working on]
Spectrum Authorisation: Process and manage applications for temporary and permanent spectrum use, ensuring compliance with national policies and regulatory requirements.
Spectrum Engineering Analysis: Conduct technical studies on spectrum sharing and assess compatibility between various radiocommunication services and systems.
Border Frequency Coordination: Support cross-border frequency coordination through data analysis, preparation of technical proposals, and ongoing liaison with neighbouring administrations to resolve interference and harmonise use of radio frequencies.
Radio Engineering Analysis: Provide technical input and support in the planning and deployment of new spectrum allocations and network deployments in Singapore.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, correspondences, and reports related to spectrum assignments, compatibility studies, and coordination outcomes.
[What we are looking for]
Background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
Good technical understanding of radiocommunication principles, spectrum management practices, and relevant ITU recommendations.
Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) planning tools and spectrum engineering analysis software is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in spectrum management, radio frequency engineering, or regulatory roles is beneficial but not mandatory.
