Role Description
The Accounting Specialist will handle a variety of accounting tasks including daily cash tracking, reconciling deposits, processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities also include managing vendor documentation, updating financial spreadsheets, and assisting with month-end closing processes. This role requires strong technical skills in Excel, familiarity with ERP accounting software (preferably SAGE), and an understanding of Microsoft SharePoint. The position also includes general office duties such as handling incoming mail and assisting the team as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of office experience
Proficient in using office equipment (postage machines, copiers, computers)
Experience with ERP accounting software (SAGE preferred, equivalent accepted)
Moderate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with MS Office Suite
Experience or understanding of Microsoft SharePoint
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills
