Job Description

Job Purpose:

Assists the plant manager in implementing programs that affect the overall direction and control of the ADM ANIMAL NUTRITION facility in South Cotabato. Together with the Plant Manager, ensures that the plant operate at expected performance levels in terms of safety, quality, cost, efficiency and productivity aligned with the overall business objectives, KPI and Corp standards.

In the absence of the Plant Manager, the Assistant plant manager acts as his proxy in dealing with all external and local community contacts associated with operation of the South Cotabato facility, this

includes Legal Contacts, Leaser, Customs and EHS Authorities.

Your Responsibilities:

Together with all other department Supervisors, the Assistant Plant Manager ensures that the entire South Cotabato facility operates as a safe, accident-free, environmentally friendly, clean and a healthy workplace. This includes implementing ensuring plant wide employee compliance to EHS standards and full participation in plant safety programs and committees. To secure safety focus are on EHS systems, conditions and behaviors. This incl working closely with the EHS Supervisor and the Plant Manager on strategy and day to day safety and environmental performance. Serves as adviser to the South Cotabato safety committee.

Assists the Plant Manager in managing the following in-house functions; EHS, Production, Warehouse and Engineering. Oversees the PE daily meeting with the operators to ensure compliance and reports this during the weekly PLANT MANAGEMENT meeting. This is to ensure proper section activity coordination; delegation of tasks and for sharing relevant plant information with other sections. Responsible for setting and implementing company policies and guidelines linked with the given KPIs.

Also responsible for the identification and selection of trainings for employees. To achieve effective use of manpower and enhance utilization within every department. With HR and the operations supervisors, the position helps in the assessment of employee performance.

Helps Build and maintain a strong, well trained, highly motivated and independent workforce with a good working relationship. .

A key personnel in ensuring compliance with the elements of GMP, HACCP, ISO9001 and ISO22000. .

Implements Plant policies that ensure plant-wide adherence to the Quality Plan, HACCP and GMP programs. This includes ensuring plant manufacturing operations are in compliance to the ISO9001 and ISO22000 systems. This incl working closely with the Quality Supervisor on strategy and day to day performance.

Provides leadership in developing and maintaining a simple low cost pelleting processes, in a highly competitive Feed mill environment. This includes but not limited to the establishment and implementation of the CIP and IAF programs.

Provides support and facilities operations, and ensure that the sections conform with South Cotabato and ADM ANIMAL NUTRITION standards.

Your Profile:

Knowledge and Skills:

An Engineer or a Technical Professional with preferably a Professional License.

Familiar with:

Budget setting for multiple functions

Familiarity with 6 Sigma and other productivity tools

Familiarity with OEE systems and tools

Familiarity with ISO Management Systems, HACCP and GMP

Proficient in both oral and written EnglishExperience:

Min 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant, incl. overlooking several departments.Personal Qualities:
