Our client is seeking a proactive and resourceful People & Talent Acquisition Manager to lead full-cycle hiring and support foundational HR processes. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape talent strategy, build scalable systems, and serve as a key culture ambassador across the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Expertise:

• Lead full-cycle recruitment across all departments, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management

• Develop and execute outbound and inbound strategies to attract top-tier candidates

• Partner with hiring managers to define talent needs and build effective sourcing plans

• Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles

• Enhance recruiting workflows to improve candidate experience and time-to-hire

• Support core HR functions including onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement

• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data

• Assist with internal communications, documentation, and performance processes

• Champion a positive workplace culture and foster cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications:

• 2â 5 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or people operations, ideally in high-growth or startup environments

• Proven ability to build recruiting systems and processes from scratch

• Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with leadership

• Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities

• Tech-savvy with experience using HRIS platforms and sourcing tools

• Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. labor laws is an asset

• CHRP considered a plus

• Willingness to work on-site in Waterloo, ON at least 3 days per week
