Join us as a Change Management Business Analyst
The Change Management Business Analyst, focused on data analytics, will be responsible for supporting analysis on projects falling under the Change Management discipline. They will help to initiate, organize, and complete data analysis for small, medium, and large sized projects that address business goals and needs. S/he will be responsible for assisting in completing all phases of the project life cycle related to the business analysis role in accordance with SDLC standards and best practices, with a focus on analysis and testing that is data intensive. They may also assist with production support of Applications managed by CP Change Management, including Business Process Management applications and Customer Relationship Management applications.
They will coordinate with the project team throughout the project lifecycle including planning, scoping, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. They will contribute to project meetings, write detailed requirements based on a comprehensive understanding of the data needs, complete required project reporting, maintain project documentation, and support the use of project management tools. They will contribute towards user acceptance test planning and execute user acceptance testing that’s focused on data analysis as needed, using applicable BI tools including Hyperion, Qlik and Excel. Finally, they will help oversee a successful implementation of the projects and product roll outs.
Project Management and Execution
Work with project participants project scope and oversee project planning related to analysis.
Contribute towards a plan for the project, including task assignments, timelines, dependencies, and critical paths.
Work with project participants to prioritize deliverables
Ensure thorough data analysis and data testing, including user acceptance testing
Track and organize open items
Data Collection & Documentation
Communicate defects to Systems developers. Track delivery dates for defect fixes and maintain status reporting. Escalate appropriately.
Document Change Requests
Contribute towards project reporting on project status
Maintain auditable files centrally associated with project
Act as the primary point of escalation for all issues related to data analysis and data testing
Create production check out plans and contribute towards project launch materials
Execute documentation SDLC documentation
Analysis
Identify key issues related to data and recommend solutions
BI tools including Hyperion, Qlik and Excel to perform data analysis and reconciliation
Analyze tasks to determine appropriate target and actual delivery dates
Work with subject matter experts to understand requirements which are converted into a written Business Requirements Document and tested via UAT
Work with technology experts to ensure appropriate design and development of requirements
Communication
Plan meetings, prepare materials, and lead or participate in meetings with business users and sponsors, systems groups, vendors and clients
Prepare project status reporting and other project communications for internal and external stakeholders as needed
Communication professionally and constructively to manage collaboration across project participants
Desired Qualifications:
BA, 3+ Years experience
Data analysis: SQL, Advanced Excel (it would be great if someone had a good knowledge of VBA or at least understood how to record macros); business intelligence tools to compare large datasets Power BI, Visio, Qlik, Hyperion.
