Primary Skills: CATIA V5(Advanced), Thermoplastics(Expert), SolidWorks(Proficient), Plastic Design(Experienced), Class A Surfaces(Knowledgeable), Contract Type: W2 Contract Duration: 6 Months Location: Southfield, MI or Casa Grande, AZ (Onsite) Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 Per Hour Job Summary: We are on the hunt for a skilled Closures Plastics Engineer to join our team in either Southfield, MI, or Casa Grande, AZ, focusing on the design and development of exterior plastics for vehicle closures.

The ideal candidate will lead in the engineering, packaging, and launch of cutting-edge exterior systems, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.

This role involves close collaboration within cross-functional teams to prioritize vehicle performance while employing innovative engineering tools and approaches.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the packaging, engineering design, release, and launch of exterior plastics for the liftgate and side doors.

Develop exterior systems emphasizing quality, reliability, functionality, mass, and cost efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritizing the vehicle's overarching benefit.

Use world-class engineering tools and innovative approaches in systems development.

Adapt to a fast-paced environment, striving for perfection in design and functionality.

Must-Have Skills: Proficient in CATIA V5 or V6 for complex CAD schemes and models.

Extensive knowledge of thermoplastic & thermoset resin materials and class A manufacturing technologies.

Experience in vehicle exterior trim design & development.

Industry Experience Required: Proven background in automotive engineering, specifically in designing and developing exterior vehicle closures.

This position requires presence onsite either in Southfield, MI, or Casa Grande, AZ, within a fast-paced, performance-driven team culture.
