DevOps Software Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity
As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. Were looking for an experienced back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients.
As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, youll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver solutions. Using your software engineering experience, youll work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have
6+ years of experience with Software Engineering or DevOps
Experience writing scripts using Bash and Python
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation tools, including Puppet, SaltStack, and Ansible
Experience with troubleshooting large UNIX Clusters and UNIX command line
Experience using system monitoring tools, including Prometheus and Grafana
Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker
Experience with container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes
Knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage system components
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have
Experience developing test plans
Experience researching, evaluating, and deploying technologies in a Kubernetes environment
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA or Confluence
Experience using Git for version control
Experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
