SharePoint Administrator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Administrator with expertise in Microsoft Purview to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing data governance, security, and administrative processes across our Microsoft 365 environment. Based in Draper, Utah, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to both immediate improvements and long-term development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage SharePoint administration tasks, including access controls, permissions, and security configurations.

• Utilize Microsoft Purview to implement robust governance, compliance, and security measures across SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.

• Collaborate with external remediation teams to identify and resolve issues within the current SharePoint environment.

• Provide technical expertise and insights during ongoing SharePoint analysis efforts.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to prepare the system for future governance and development projects.

• Assess and address gaps in administrative configurations, security protocols, and governance frameworks.

• Ensure seamless integration and functionality across Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.

• Maintain best practices for data security and compliance within the organization.

• Support strategic initiatives aimed at modernizing collaboration platforms.• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint administration.

• At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Purview, preferably at an administrative level.

• Proficient understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.

• Demonstrated ability to assess and remediate security and governance gaps within collaboration platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and related technologies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.

• Familiarity with data compliance and governance best practices.

• Effective communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
