We are looking for a strategic, technically sound, and hands-on SEO Manager to lead both the on-page and off-page SEO functions. This role will be the end-to-end SEO strategy with a core focus on Topical Authority, Semantic SEO, natural link acquisition, and E-E-A-T optimization.
You will work cross-functionally with content, dev, and outreach teams to build long-term organic growth across multiple domains and verticals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Manage, mentor, and grow both the on-page and off-page SEO teams.
Drive synergy between content, technical SEO, and outreach efforts.
Ensure each team delivers against KPIs, timelines, and quality benchmarks. On-Page SEO Strategy
Design and implement data-driven SEO strategies centered on:
Topical Authority and Topical Map Creation
Semantic SEO and entity-based optimization
Internal linking, content clustering, and schema integration
Optimize content for search intent, readability, and crawlability.
Ensure proper site architecture and technical SEO hygiene. E-E-A-T Optimization
Integrate Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness into content strategies.
Guide the team on building author bios, sourcing credible data, and using expert-driven content.
Evaluate site trust signals and suggest improvements (e.g., transparency pages, editorial standards, citations, etc.).
Work with writers and editors to improve perception of credibility and topical coverage. Off-Page SEO & Link Building
Lead the link-building strategy focused on:
Acquiring natural, editorial, and niche-relevant backlinks
Avoiding spammy sources, PBNs, paid link farms, and unnatural anchor patterns
Define clear link requirements for the outreach team: target URLs, anchors, domain quality metrics.
Evaluate link quality using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Majestic, and Google Search Console.
Conduct regular backlink audits and manage the disavow process when needed. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track rankings, traffic, and user engagement metrics using GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
Report SEO KPIs monthly with deep insights and clear next steps.
Evaluate performance by page, topic cluster, funnel stage, and backlink source. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with content writers, developers, designers, and marketing stakeholders.
Ensure SEO best practices are implemented across web builds, content updates, and digital campaigns.
Contribute to product and UX discussions from an SEO perspective. Requirements
5+ years of SEO experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Hands-on experience managing both on-page and off-page SEO teams.
Deep understanding of:
Semantic SEO and Topical Authority models
E-E-A-T frameworks and Google Quality Rater Guidelines
White-hat backlink acquisition and link quality evaluation
Proficiency with SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Surfer SEO, Google Search Console, GA4, etc.
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical thinking. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field. (Master's is a plus)
Certifications in Google Analytics, SEO tools, or advanced SEO courses (e.g., Semantic SEO, Yoast, HubSpot).
Familiarity with NLP, structured data, topical coverage analysis, and content scoring tools.
Experience with international SEO, B2B/SaaS SEO, or large-scale content operations.
