OverviewVTG is seeking a Welder to work in our Fabrication Shop in Virginia Beach.What will you do?\nWelds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.\nStudies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.\nMeasures, marks, and scribes layout on metals.\nPerforms related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.\nRepairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.\nPositions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.\nUtilizes hand tools such as grinders, drills, needle guns, saws, calipers, scribes, combination squares.\nVerifies conformance of fabricated layouts and items to the blueprint specifications.\nOperate all machines in discipline.\n Do you have what it takes?Education/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nThree (3) to Ten (10) years of related experience\n\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:\nMust pass precertification company welding test\nApprenticeship or certification in welding from secondary school is preferred\n
