Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. Candidate will train under current Engineering Vice President. Responsibilities include developing drawings, routings and BOMs for custom engineered products.

Responsibilities

Create and detail drawings using Master Cam.

Create and maintain routings and bills of material.

Create work orders showing step by step manufacturing instructions.

Interface with customers, interpret their needs into a product.

Interface with manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to understand material and assembly cost.

Optimize designs to minimize cost.

Interface with sales team to help develop cost.

Become the go-to person to assist with questions from manufacturing.

Maintain standard processes for the Engineering department.

Minimum Requirements

Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools and machinery.

Experience in designing CNC and welded components in a CAD system.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to solve problems in a team environment.

Self-starter with a willingness and ambition to learn from others and seek out information.

Strong sense of accountability with a can-do attitude.

Experience or training in LEAN manufacturing tools and process improvement.

Preferred Skills

Associate degree or Trade school training in a technical discipline.

Experience working in the stainless steel, high purity component market.

Experience designing machined and welded components.

Able to create drawings in Master CAM. Company Description
