A dog boarding facility offering doggy daycare, grooming, in-home services and pet taxi. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team part-time position. The ideal candidate must have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that all animals receive the highest standard of care while maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

Cleaning is a major part of this job.

Rotating and monitoring dog playgroups of various sizes.

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, administering medication, and rinsing/bathing.

Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.

Monitor the health and behavior of animals in your care, report any concerns.

Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.

Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.

Play-groups can have up to 20 large dogs, therefore you will need to be very comfortable with dogs.

Qualifications

Team-player with a positive attitude.

Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to work independently and complete tasks proficiently.

Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.

Punctual and dependable with reliable transportation.

Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred.

Familiarity with kennel operations, dog training techniques, or veterinary practices is a plus.
