Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
· Must be able to operate either an OD or ID machine successfully
· Must be able to utilize necessary hand tools and instruments to precision grind parts
· Must be able to use and read micrometers
· Must possess the basic tools required to perform grind operations
· Must complete all written entries and signatures as demanded by the work order traveler
· Must report to either the quality inspector or supervisor any deviations from the part versus the work order traveler at all stages of the processes involved with that part
· Must be able to perform a basic liquid penetrant exam to parts if required by the work order traveler
· Must be able to operate an jib or overhead crane successfully
· Must be able to perform daily routine maintenance on their OD/ID machine (check lubricants levels/ clean/etc.)
· Must keep their machine and work station clean and organized
· Trainees will be given the opportunity to purchase required personal hand tools through the company and pay back the debt weekly until the debt has been satisfied
Qualifications:
· Must be able to read English to understand the work order traveler and enclosed drawings pertaining to the parts to be ground
· Experienced operators to be hired must have a minimum of one year experience
· Trainee operators should have a completed high school education or GED equivalent. Trainee shall be trained by an in house instructor for a minimum of 4 weeks and it is up to the instructor to judge when the trainee is ready to operate a grind machine without supervision
