Extruder / Thermoformer Operator
Essential Functions:
Setting up, operating or tending machines that extrude or draw thermoplastic materials into pipes, rods, hoses, wires, bars or structural shapes.
Procedures by reading and interpreting specifications.
Regulating machines to maintain the proper temperature, speed and feed rates.
Inspecting and measuring finished product to ensure they meet specifications.
Documenting and reporting any issues or deviations in the production process.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Operate and trouble shoot plastics extrusion equipment.
Monitor and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure product meets specifications
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
Strong communication skill
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume production environment.
Physical Requirements:
Employee will regularly be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, frequently required to climb stairs.
Bending, twisting, up and down steps, kneeling, stooping.
Prolonged periods of time standing / walking on concrete.
Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
Pushing, pulling skids with pallet jack.
