Job Overview:
The Placement Coordinator will be responsible for managing both student admissions and placement activities, ensuring enrollment targets are met and creating strong industry linkages to facilitate student career opportunities. This role requires excellent communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and a results-oriented approach to meet institutional objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions
Achieve predefined student enrollment targets through structured outreach and conversion activities.
Develop partnerships with referrals, mobilizers, and community networks to generate admissions.
Oversee the complete admissions process—from initial inquiry to final enrollment—ensuring timely follow-ups and communication.
Plan and implement marketing campaigns (offline and online) to attract prospective students, collaborating closely with the social media team.
Conduct calls, counselling sessions, and field marketing drives to engage potential students.
Organize and participate in admission events such as open houses, career fairs, orientation programs, and school visits.
Review application forms and verify documents for compliance with institutional policies.
Prepare periodic reports on admission trends, conversion rates, and enrollment forecasts.
Placements
Build and maintain relationships with recruiters, companies, and industry professionals to create placement and internship opportunities.
Organize campus placement drives, pre-placement training, and career counselling sessions.
Coordinate with faculty and department heads to align placement efforts with student skill sets and industry needs.
Track and report placement statistics, including student participation, job offers, and joining updates.
Assist students in job search, resume preparation, mock interviews, and soft skill development.
Collect employer feedback to improve placement outcomes and training modules.
Prepare promotional and informational material such as placement brochures and reports for industry outreach.
Support the Program Manager in both admissions and placement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
2–3 years of relevant experience in admissions, placements, or career services.
Strong communication, counselling, and networking skills.
Ability to organize events and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM or student management systems.
Willingness to travel for outreach and placement activities.
