Fortis is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide welding operations.
Prepare and clean metal surfaces for welding.
Select and use appropriate welding equipment and consumables.
Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity.
Maintain and adjust welding equipment as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant welding experience OR completion of a welding apprenticeship.
Strong safety awareness and work ethic.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be located within a commutable distance to Greendale, IN

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 5:45 AM-3:45 PM (occasional overtime)
