Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Surgical Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team on a 34-bed unit, with a maximum capacity of 43 patients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-quality and patient-centered environment that is recognized for its commitment to excellence in care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on a general medical-surgical floor, including a specialized focus on stroke and neuro patients.

- Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

- Monitor patient conditions and implement care plans under the supervision of a charge nurse.

- Educate patients and their families about ongoing healthcare needs and resources.

Unit Information:

- Number of Beds: 34 (max capacity: 43 patients)

- Typical Patient Ratios: 5:1

- Staffing Structure:

- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 8 RNs, 3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary (at max capacity)

- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 8 RNs, 1 Tech, 1 Unit Secretary (at max capacity)

Required Qualifications:

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

- NIH Stroke Certification.

- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Personality Fit:

- We are looking for candidates who are upbeat, engaged, and compassionate.

Dress Code:

- Scrubs in navy color.
