Seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to be responsible for performing ultrasound exams within the Ob Gyn Clinic. They will participate in quality improvement and other duties
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
· Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
· Answers telephone calls in a professional manner; appropriately prioritizing and communicating messages to the provider.
· Maintains accurate and continued documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses and assessment of changes.
· Completes all provider assignments/patient follow-up by the end of each day.
· Maintains patient exam rooms, patient restroom, and workstations according to standard.
· Maintains established office policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
· Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with office standards educating patients and families as needed.
· Ensures an adequate stock of supplies assisting in cost containment through appropriate ordering and conserving of supplies and equipment.
· Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
· Reviews Athena workflow dashboard and completes necessary tasks.
· Verifies schedule one week in advance to confirm patient information, including demographics, insurance and due date are properly entered.
· Inputs ultrasound report into patient’s Athena chart.
· Enters ultrasound charges into Athena the following business day.
· Maintains daily and monthly logs as required
· Other duties as assigned.
Must-Haves
ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist and/or Registered in Ultrasound (RDMS) or registry eligible in Ultrasound
Current BCLS certification
1 or more year experience in general ultrasound
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Ability to organize, coordinate and evaluate patient information.
· Ability to communicate effectively.
· Ability to be flexible and function under stressful situations.
· Ability to train and mentor new staff members.
EDUCATION
· Graduate of School of Radiologic Technology
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist and/or Registered in Ultrasound (RDMS) or registry eligible in Ultrasound
Current BCLS certification
Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates
Salary negotiable based on experience, full benefits package plus sign-on bonus.
