Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will oversee project execution, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate subcontractors and internal teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of assigned projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, execution, and closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules using critical path methodology; track milestones and adjust plans as needed.
Establish and manage project budgets, review cost reports, and oversee billing and change management processes.
Serve as the primary liaison between the owner, architect, engineers, consultants, and internal teams.
Coordinate with field supervision, estimating, procurement, and BIM/fabrication teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Negotiate contracts, manage subcontractor relationships, and enforce safety and quality standards on site.
Lead and document OAC meetings, subcontractor meetings, and internal project updates.
Identify and mitigate project risks; proactively resolve issues with minimal disruption.
Mentor and support junior project managers, engineers, and project coordinators.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and project-specific requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (required).
8+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, including multiple projects $5M+ in value.
Experience in [insert relevant specialties: HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, design-build, data centers, etc.] is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, scheduling (Primavera or MS Project), and financial reporting.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Smartsheet).
Excellent leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
PMP, CCM, or similar certification (a plus).
