Job Summary• Act as the Wealth Banker to UHNW and HNW clients providing bespoke Wealth services.
• Responsible for identifying and developing client relationships with ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth residents in Mauritius.
• Leads new client acquisition and retention, extensive knowledge of Wealth Banking products cutting across both Banking and non-Banking in muti-currency.
• Proven sales, networking, origination and business development skills and expertise to increase the share of wallet in the domestic market.
• Outstanding relationships with Business intermediaries such as Management Companies, Real-Estate agents, Assets Management Companies, Legal Firms, Promoters & various Government agencies.
Job Description
Responsible for managing client portfolios and developing a book of clients focused on ultra / high net worth individuals in Mauritius. These client portfolios will be made of individual accounts and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
Manage and develop existing relationships with the aim of building and maintaining the portfolio, whilst continually identifying further business opportunities aligned to the client's needs.
The role provides the opportunity for an individual with significant senior banking leadership experience to develop and implement all aspects of banking strategy with full revenue and balance sheet responsibility.
To be well qualified for this role, an individual needs to be a proven business builder with experience and global mind-set underpinned by a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment including fiduciary and suitability requirements.
Identify, develop and secure new relationships through personal and client referrals, intermediary relationships, and internal networks.
Originate new target market clients through lending, transactional banking, savings & investments.
Always maintain the highest levels of service and delivery to existing clients through all channels.
Ensure conformity with global and market standards of client service, regulatory compliance, T&C, TCF, KYC, product delivery and operating model.
Preparation of credit applications, loan and mortgage agreements and fielding existing client queries.
Fosters collaboration, drives cohesion and teamwork across various areas in the bank.
Seen as a role model, leader, and trusted advisor by team members, the wider client coverage team, and other areas of the bank.
Provide a voice of reason in contentious discussions.
Challenge the team to continuously question the way they do things to ensure the team and business do not stagnate.
Role model from a governance, compliance, and regulatory perspective within the team.
Support, coach, and develop team members and other junior colleagues in the bank.
Seek, share, and embed best practices across the team and in delivering to the clients.
Continue to proactively develop yourself and undertake relevant training (including sales process, product, industry, etc.)
Assist in driving and supporting Wealth and Bank initiatives.

Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
