Design Engineer

Key Accountabilities:Apply knowledge of structural analysis (e.g., materials technology, finite element modeling, static analysis, fatigue analysis, damage tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, vibration analysis, structural testing, etc.) to determine structural adequacy for customer requirements and regulatory compliance; and to collaborate on structural design, manufacturing, and post-delivery of productsAreas of expertise may include primary and secondary structural analysisCandidates are expected to perform as individual contributors within a team environment.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications:Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering course of study from an ABET accredited program Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with detailed FEA, CATIA V5 or similar tools, and classical structural analysis techniques using free body diagrams and internal loads model dataDemonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environmentWorking knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standardsAdvanced thinking and problem-solving abilityExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and organizational skillsFamiliarity with classical structural analysis techniques, using free body diagrams and internal loads model data
