Main Purpose:The Power Operator will play a crucial role by being responsible for leading all aspects of day-to-day power operations across multiple European markets, ensuring efficient scheduling with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) & maintain accurate and reliable data from generation and consumption assets.
In this role you will have the opportunity to support full compliance with market regulations and operational obligations.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
TSO Scheduling & Nominations
Implement daily scheduling and nominations with multiple European TSOs
Lead day-ahead/intraday position adjustments and schedule modifications
Ensure timely submission of all nominations according to market deadlines
Work close with traders to implement trading strategies through accurate scheduling
Data Management
Maintain data management systems for generation and consumption assets
Validate and reconcile metering data from various sources
Ensure data quality and integrity across operational systems
Prepare and distribute operational reports for internal stakeholders
Market Compliance
Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all active power markets
Implement processes to meet balancing obligations and grid codes
Maintain documentation for audit purposes and regulatory reporting
Stay updated with changing market rules and implement vital operational adjustments
Market & Asset Onboarding
Support the project manager with integration of new power markets into workflows
Document and standardize operational procedures and work with origination teams with onboarding new generation and consumption assets
Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members on new processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related field
2+ years of experience in power market operations or related energy sector role
Technical Skills
Proficient understanding of European power market mechanisms and TSO requirements
Experience with energy scheduling and power exchange systems
Strong ability with Python, VBA and Excel is required
Familiarity with REMIT and other relevant regulatory frameworks

Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast paced environment by meeting strict deadlines
