Position Summary
The Diesel/Shop Mechanic inspects, diagnoses, and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machines, like trucks, forklifts, trailers, etc. Their main duties include but are not limited to running diagnostic tests on vehicles, replacing the vehicles' engine, transmission, steering mechanism or braking system, and test driving the vehicle to determine if they properly fixed the maintenance issue.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Repair and maintenance high-pressure diesel-powered rigs.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with Employees.
Must have intimate knowledge of all scopes of work performed by Conco.
Must have intimate knowledge of all products offered by Conco and their implementation.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Easily adaptable to changing situations.
Solid knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
The ability to work independently and in a team environment with an appropriate sense of urgency and accuracy under pressure.
Work in a non-climate-controlled environment

Qualifications and Skills
Understanding of how to perform all types of leak detection tests
High School Diploma (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate accepted)
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
Must be authorized to work in the United States
An equivalent combination of experience and training provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, and the ability to diagnose and repair them
Ability to quickly identify issues, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions under time constraints.
Precision in identifying problems and performing repairs, ensuring all tasks meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment with precision.
A natural understanding of how mechanical systems work and the ability to apply this knowledge to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components.
Effective communication to explain issues and ensure satisfaction.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload effectively, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Proficient in documenting repairs, maintaining service records, and following standard operating procedures for inventory and parts tracking.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk and move for extended periods (8+ hours per day)
Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in various work environments
Lifting and carrying tools, equipment, and materials up to 50 lbs (occasionally heavier with assistance)
Working in outdoor and indoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
Climbing ladders, scaffolding, or working at heights as needed
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and heavy machinery safely
Dexterity to perform fine motor tasks, such as wiring, assembling, or troubleshooting equipment
Driving for extended periods to custom sites, sometimes in remote locations
Be aware of and adhere to safety protocols
Work Environment
The work environment involves remote or industrial locations, such as oil rigs, refineries, or industrial plants. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials. Rotational schedules and extended shifts are common. Safety is a top priority, with rigorous training protocols and PPE including hard hats, gloves, and high-visibility clothing provided to mitigate risks. The role may involve working outdoors in varied weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold weather. Employees will spend time traveling between job sites.
