We are seeking a driven and curious Document Control Specialist in Austin, TX to join our Project Management Team managing a large healthcare program with multiple owners and funding sources. As a member of our Project Management Team, you will report to our Project Controls Manager to help support the day-to-day execution of Project Controls and Document Controls functions for the Project.
As a member of our Project Team core responsibilities will include
Coordinating and administering document management activities relative to identification, control, and change documents directly related to the assigned project.
Track the life cycle of documents and records with all revisions, including Design documents, RFIs and submittals.
Ensuring that all documents are stored in the document management system.
Independently manage other day-to-day tasks related to document and records management. This position regularly interacts with internal Jacobs team members, client, and external consultant contacts.
Must be proficient in database software and database reporting capabilities.
Responsible for working within our established project database to track submittals, RFI's, change orders, correspondence, design review comments, etc.
Able to manipulate project database information to retrieve specific data and help to produce appropriate customized reports for use by the Owners and Project Team.
Responsible for efficient flow of all project documents to and from project staff members.
Responsible for tracking project documents and reporting on key document information such as status of overdue submittals, late RFI responses, unresolved change orders, etc.

BS in Design, Construction, Accounting, or related field OR combination of education and related experience
2+ years of related Document Controls experience on large projects
Experienced in all aspects of Document Controls and Management.
Broad knowledge of overall Project Control Systems, Management, Distribution, and Communications
