Job Title: MRI/CT Technologist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI/CT Technologist to join our healthcare team for a 4-month contract position. This role offers a unique schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off, providing both flexibility and extensive patient interaction.

Shift Details:

- Day shifts: 3x10 hours (07:30 AM - 06:00 PM) or 4x10 hours (08:30 AM - 08:00 PM)

- Required weekend commitment: Every other weekend (8:30 AM - 8:00 PM)

- On-call responsibilities for MRI (1 week per month)

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of MRI and CT exams and procedures with a focus on high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

- Collaborate directly with Radiologists to set protocols and ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

- Provide emergency services through on-call availability, with a cycle of 1 week per month.

- Maintain patient safety standards, including radiation safety and preparation and/or administration of contrast media.

- Demonstrate adept knowledge of equipment and imaging technologies, employing independent judgment and procedural skills.

Qualifications:

- Must be registered in MRI and CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.

- Completion of an accredited course in Magnetic Resonance Imaging is preferred.

- A minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist or successful clinical rotation experience in a hospital setting.

- Previous experience with the EPIC charting system preferred.

- Charge experience is an asset.

Patient Care & Unit Details:

- Staffing ratios: Days 1:2; Weekends 1:2

- Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
