Role Information
Location: Wesley Woods, 4588 Wesley Woods Blvd., New Albany, Ohio 43054.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours a week:
Month A: Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
(Schedule rotates between A & B month to month)
Month B: Tuesday - Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm
( Schedule rotates between A & B month to month)

You, our Ideal Candidate
The Events & Programs Specialist must be creative and have excellent listening skills. The Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating events and programming for residents and family members. This position creates an environment of wellness and engagement throughout the organization. The Events & Programs Specialist collaborates with other departments as well as the community at large to provide programming.
Responsibilities
Participates in planning and leads creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families.
Organizes volunteers.
Prepares activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements and completes participation in Care tracker.
Prepares progress notes per regulatory standards.
Assists with arranging transportation to events, programs and field trips as necessary.
Implements passive exercise and wellness programs on the nursing units.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
CNA certification preferred.
2 years of experience in social or recreational programming in a health care setting working with residents with Dementia preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with demonstrated creativity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
