First Choice Construction is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Quality Control (QC) Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in quality control within the construction industry or government agencies. Please note that this is not an entry-level position; we require candidates with proven experience as QC inspectors or coordinators.

The Quality Control -Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Conducting regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify any deviations from specifications or safety standards.

Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly.

Preparing detailed reports on quality control activities, inspection results, and any non-conformance issues.

Training other team members to uphold quality standards consistently across projects.

Reviewing project plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify potential quality risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Ensuring that all materials, equipment, and workmanship meet the required quality criteria before acceptance.

Coordinating with government agencies and third-party inspectors during quality reviews and compliance inspections.

Staying updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to construction quality control.

Qualifications

NAVFAC CQM Preferred

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to access military facilities such as Andrews & Fort Meade.

Bachelors degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, not required.

Proven experience as a Quality Control Coordinator or similar role within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to both independently and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and organized.

Proficient in quality control software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in QC reporting and documentation.

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent are a plus.
