Job Title: Part-Time Property Manager

Overview:
A lovely, down-to-earth family residing in a 5,000 sq. ft. antique home with a guest cottage and a couple of outbuildings on 8 acres in Easton, Connecticut is seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Property Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands the quirks and needs of partially renovated older homes and enjoys working independently with a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate vendors and subcontractors for regular maintenance and repairs
Anticipate and identify issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, septic systems, roofing, drainage, etc.
Maintain a weekly property log with a two-week look-ahead and updates on completed work
Supervise and schedule seasonal property needs, including irrigation, snow removal, pest control, and general grounds care
Provide on-site supervision for any construction, renovation, or project work, ensuring construction protection is in place
Track people hours understanding how long tasks should reasonably take to complete
Manage and oversee landscape and hardscape maintenance (driveways, stonework, patios, etc.)
Monitor and support care of trees, lawns, gardens, and overall groundskeeping
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, subcontractors, and service providers
Handle occasional ad hoc tasks related to household needs, deliveries, or site access
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing or renovating antique or older homes
Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and septic
Familiarity with landscape, hardscape, and tree care best practices
Strong network of trusted local vendors and subcontractors
Organized, self-motivated, and proactive with excellent communication skills
Familiarity with construction methods and residential oversight
Comfortable tracking multiple projects, timelines, and maintenance needs
Bonus Points:
Background in general contracting, facilities management, landscaping, or residential construction
Easton, CT or nearby resident with local area knowledge
