Remote Crane Operator

Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities: This position will be setting up, adjusting and operating the remote overhead crane to move material throughout the designated area as assigned.

Specific Duties:

Set up, adjust and operate crane equipment safely.

Reports abnormal conditions of equipment to supervision.

Observes all safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly.

Pay attention to continuous traffic of co-workers and tow motors moving throughout the shop.

Moving raw materials such as steel plates, cut parts, and parts/material from outside shop.

Job Requirements:

Reliable/Dependable

Strong Mathematical Aptitude.

Strong Hand-Eye Coordination

Open minded and willing to learn company process.

Willingness to work any shift.

Ability to follow instructions provided by supervisor.

Experience with plate hooks and magnets is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to respond quickly to sounds.

The ability to see and respond to dangerous situation.

The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly.

The ability to stand continuously throughout the duration of the shift.

The ability to withstand working in varying temperatures.

The ability to lift 70 lbs.
