Crane Operator - Belfield, ND

Job Description

The Crane Operator is responsible for providing the safe operation of the crane by performing crane setup, pre-trip inspection, rigging, and crane operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate crane under general supervision

Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions

Ensure load is properly secured

Review rigging work prior to lifting

Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis

Complete job tickets, and all other necessary paperwork

Life, position, and place machinery, equipment, or other large objects ad locations

Drive crane to work site

Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads

Move levers and pedals to rotate crane on chassis to raise and lower crane boom and to raise and lower load line

Attends and participates in safety meetings

Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, weight and dimension requirements, and any other regulations that are required

Reports any and all incidents immediately

Able to work in all weather conditions

Performs other duties as directed by management

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Must possess organizational and problem-solving skills

Must be able to work with a team

Must be able to lift 60 pounds and handle physically demanding work

Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication

Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool

Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check

Arrange for reliable transportation to and from work

Work Environment

This job operates in an outside environment. The role routinely works in all weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme wind, rain, cold, heat, etc.

Pay

$80,000 to $120,000 per year. Pay Type: Hourly
