Job Summary

Working within Waterfall or Agile frameworks, works with a variety of disciplined focused team members all working toward a common goal of delivering value with quality and scale. Assists in the collaboration with other job functions within Technology and business partners to help deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices. Under direct supervision, performs basic business and project analysis functions assigned by senior staff.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs business/project analysis functions assigned by senior staff with moderate guidance and directionDevelops skills in general system and business analysis.

Development functional & non-functional requirements, contributes to documentationHelps write test cases, and executes tests.

Develops querying and data modeling skills along with an understanding of basic system configuration; able to understand technology solutionsCreates work plans while learning and applying best practices.

Builds domain knowledge and understands core business capabilities.

Analyzes, resolves and implements appropriate solutions for basic problems.

Provides an entry level process redesign and support including using tools, responding to user questions, problem diagnosis, recognition of process improvements, research, troubleshooting, tracking and resolution.

Develop knowledge and fundamental awareness of the planning and monitoring of expenditures.

Develop basic financial management of assets and resources to utilize when making process changes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or related field of study Or Associate's degree in computer science or related field of study with 2 years of relevant work experience Or High school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience: No additional experience is required, except for any listed above.

Compensation Range:

$61,647.00-77,057.50 USD

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities. The following locations are NOT currently approved for this position: AK, CO, CT, DE, HI, IA, ID, KS, MA, ME, MS, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SD, UT, VT, WY, US Territories or international work locations. AEP will consider qualified candidates who are willing to relocate to an approved work location, at the candidate’s expense, provided the relocation can be completed within a timeframe that meets AEP’s staffing needs.
