Key Responsibilities:
Develop and define implementation plans for OSP/ISP plant construction and upgrades (e.g., risers, inter-building cabling).
Analyze and manage network capacity trends, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization and augmentation strategies.
Define and implement short-term and long-term network strategies (3–5 years), aligned with evolving product and technology transformations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Transport, Core Wave, Field Ops, Implementation, A&E, and Custom Networks.
Prepare engineering plans and specifications, perform field data collection, and ensure cost-effective designs.
Provide detailed capital planning and budgeting support, including cost estimations.
Monitor and control project expenditures and ensure timely delivery.
Stay current with industry trends by attending conferences, reading journals, and engaging in continuous learning.
Ensure deliverables meet quality, resiliency, and compliance standards with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant telecom engineering experience (or 4+ with a Master's).
Strong experience in ISP/OSP plant design, network capacity planning, and equipment specification.
Hands-on experience with ArcGIS/PRO, AutoCAD, and Google Earth.
Strong understanding of network topologies, access/transport layers, and interconnectivity design.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proven ability to analyze large-scale data sets for cost-efficiency and optimization.
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and process-driven execution.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication (written & verbal) and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business.
PMI certification (Project Management Professional).
Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
Experience in capital budgeting, cost savings initiatives, and financial forecasting.
Background in network operations optimization or telecom product transformation.
Prior experience in engineering roles with strong financial oversight.
