Job Description
The Tree Farm is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender to join our team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service during the evening hours while effectively managing closing tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere for members and guest, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining inventory, all while efficiently executing end-of-shift communications and duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
Engage with members and guests, providing friendly and knowledgeable service while taking drink orders and answering questions about the menu.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
Assist management with training staff, with a focus on coaching and mentoring best practices.
Assist in monitoring and assessing safety within the bar and front-of-house spaces and consult with management to effectively respond to and proactively address safety concerns according to proper/established protocol.
Adhering to local and state alcohol laws, procedures and policies
Deliver exceptional guest service with a can-do attitude and welcoming demeanor.
Minimize waste while pouring and mixing drinks.
Thoroughly clean the bar area, including countertops, glassware, and equipment at the end of the shift. Ensure that all areas are tidy and organized, preparing for the next day’s service.
Report any low inventory levels or necessary order items to the management team.
Communicate important information to the next shift, including any ongoing issues with inventory, equipment, or member and guest concerns. Complete any required closing paperwork accurately and thoroughly
Minimum:
2 years minimum bartending and hospitality experience
High school diploma or equivalent; bartending school certification is a plus.
Availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Accuracy in measuring and pouring drinks.
Knowledge of spirits, wine and beer, and working knowledge of standard, classic drink recipes.
Knowledge of crafting high end cocktails.
Working knowledge of bar equipment and cocktail tools.
Ability to prepare high-quality cocktails and food items according to company standards and specified recipes/instructions.
Ability to present and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor while at work.
Exceptional customer-service orientation, with the ability to recognize and utilize member and guest complaints as opportunities to build brand loyalty.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to follow and adhere to instructions, directions and guidance on processes, procedures and practices for bar and retail operations.
Ability to problem-solve with a solutions-oriented approach and to successfully manage and resolve conflict.
Ability to represent the company and the brand in a professional manner.
Basic skills with computer equipment and software.
Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol, as per local laws and regulations.
Valid Driver’s License
Full-time
