Stainless Steel Finishing Grinder

Coperion is currently seeking a Stainless-Steel Finishing Grinder to support our location in Whitewater, WI.

The Stainless Steel Finishing Grinder would support the activities of the Operations department by setting up, maintaining, operating, and cleaning finishing equipment to ensure a high-quality surface finish that meets specifications. We have a 5S environment, a very clean production floor, and great people to work with!

Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6 am - 3 pm & Friday 6 am - Noon

Responsibilities:

Set up grinding equipment, select appropriate grinding wheels or attachments, and adjust tools for optimal surface finishing of stainless steel components.

Operate stationary and handheld grinders, polishers, and other finishing tools to remove surface oxidation, burrs, weld spatter, and foreign matter from stainless steel parts.

Finish weld seams and surface areas to match grain direction and achieve a smooth, consistent finish per drawings and specifications.

Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S practices to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions, and procedures.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent

6 months or more related experience in metal finishing or grinding

Ability to read blueprints preferred

Basic computer knowledge

Dependability a must
