The Office of the Ohio Public Defender (OPD) is seeking an individual with strong technical and interpersonal skills for an Application Support Analyst (Business Process Analyst 1) position to join the Application Support Team in its MIS department. The Application Support Team is responsible for the development, training, auditing, testing, and agency and/or county deployment of our court appointed billing application (CABS) and our case management application (CMS).
In the Application Support Analyst position, your day-to-day duties will include the following:
Oversee Tier 1 & Tier 2 CMS & CABS HelpDesk Tickets and interact with users via email, instant message, and telephone calls
Perform testing in pre-and post-production to identify bugs in the system to help improve users' experience with our applications
Develop training material based on identified needs
Perform audits and develop reports of findings to ensure adherence to processes
Other essential duties of the position include but are not limited to:
Perform IT assessments and audits of CABS & CMS success after county deployments
Develop reports of findings for the Application Support team and the IT Director
As a part of a team, travel to counties throughout Ohio to facilitate and/or assist the roll out of applications to county offices
Conduct desk side or classroom application training as needed
Serve as back-up HelpDesk to the Office of the Ohio Public Defender as needed
The Application Support Analyst position is assigned to the State of Ohio’s OCSEA pay schedule, Pay Range 33, presented below in table format. Starting pay will be at Step 1 unless required by contract/legislation; candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for higher starting pay. Our steps give a standard path for earnings growth: you move to the next step after 6 months and annually thereafter. We typically have fiscal year Cost of Living Adjustments as well.
