Job Description
Join a leading global food and beverage company as an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems, boilers, and related equipment, ensuring high-quality and efficient operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform daily operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems.
Manage boilers, pumps, and water feed systems on a daily basis.
Maintain and operate CFC refrigeration and A/C systems.
Test and treat boiler and cooling water systems regularly.
Operate and maintain compressed air systems and vacuum pumps/systems.
Read and follow system drawings, manuals, and P&ID drawings accurately.
Adhere to Process Safety Management guidelines.
Conduct building maintenance as required.Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience in refrigeration, ammonia, boiler, or HVAC systems.
Proficient in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills with knowledge of pneumatics.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, especially Allen Bradley PLCs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment maintenance documentation.
Experience in food manufacturing and EPA regulations.
Must be adept at electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a must.
Knowledge of boilers/steam boilers is advantageous.

Work Environment
This position is in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures and conditions. The role involves working night shifts on a rotating 2-3-3-2 schedule, ensuring flexibility and a balanced work-life dynamic. Pay is up to $38/hr
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, Texas.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.06 - $38.49/hr.
